The fighter in me...

Hey guys! It's been a while since I last posted a blog. Today's topic is slightly different compared to my previous ones.
Yet, it's more meaningful and something in my heart that I want to confess so badly till today.
Now, are you ready?
Here's my deep down experience of fighting with my breakouts on my face.
To those who have been having healthy skins, congrats to you.
Please appreciate it and take care of your skin more because you're a damn lucky one in the world!
But to those with acne problem like me, you're gonna hear me and let's see if I can help you out in any ways in terms of mental and physcial.

The story started at my age of 19...
When I first had breakouts on my forehead, it had been frankly the toughest year of my life so far.  My skin became extremely bad when I first joined my full-time job.
Then, I started looking for skincare products that would save my breakout skin.
Unfortunately, those products didn't work well for me. And I started going for facial service very frequently like twice a month when it was getting more serious.
In fact, the money that I had spent on my facial services and facial products were almost half of my salary.
I was so panicked, and feeling helpless at that time...
Struggling with my face whenever I look into the mirror.
Every morning, the first thing I did wasn't about checking on my phone or laying on the bed.
What I did was looking at the mirror and hoping for a better condition of my skin, even just a little bit better could really make my day easier.
Preparing myself to work, and here came my suffer from meeting the people out there. My colleagues, clients and friends...
I have to say some people were really mean by judging on my face.
Criticized my appearance and questioning why were my face like that and so on.
To all of you who are reading this, please never ever do this to anyone you think he/she is weird in some ways or having problems on their skins. They could be fighting hard inside for something.
Unless you could really help them with something. Not that you care.
Most of you are just trying to make fun of people and thinking it's just like a joke.
Always remember that Never Ever judge anyone, you never know what people have been going through and you wouldn't experience what's happening because you're not the person him/herself.
The moment you think It's no big deal, you're judging!

I'm sorry if it scares you. It's normal because I used to be terrified by looking myself everyday.

Things got serious, and slowly it started spreading to my left side of my face when I just returned from my Japan trip.

In a nutshell, it was really challenging for me at that time.
You have no idea how I had been through all these years.
From a crystal clear skin to a disaster, not that I could accept it,
but I'm lucky to have gone through these.
Such a long story and I think I should stop right here since everything is good now and I'm so grateful to have my breakouts solved.
Not to say I'm having a prefect skin, but it's under my control at least.
So I'm writing this to you all whether you're getting through this shit or your case is much more serious than me.
Don't give up, and you're not alone. There's always hope as long as you keep fighting.

Okay, now I'm gonna share some tips to all of you that I had discovered during my breakouts journey. ah so sad TT I'm sorry to those who are fighting through these.

#1 First thing first, identify the problem of your skin and what causes the breakouts. Some of you might be using the wrong products or you probably have not been doing very well during the cleasing part.

#2 Look for a skin specialist if your skin is constantly uncontrolled. I was so dumb by just going to facial and hoping everything will be fine, but it had actually gone worst! Because for my case, it was due to stress and some kind of hormonal changes. So it sucks badly to have this problem I would say, because products will never work for me effectively. What I can do is just do my best part of maintaining a healthy skin as much as I can.

#3 After visiting a specialist, the doctor will give you 2 choices if it's due to hormonal problem.
1. Take medicine to control your breakouts
2. Apply drugs to reduce your breakouts

Or go for both for the ultimate result. I chose the second solution because I didn't wanna take any medicine as there will be some minor side effects to health for sure. Well, it depends on how serious your face is. You can discuss with your doctor.

#4 Facial products play the most important role to your skin too. They can make your face better, or worse. So for my facial products, they are all without Parabens, alcohol and fragrance. Later, I'll share some of the products that I use for some years and how it has saved my skin.

#5 Change your pillowcase everyday, I know you must be wondering how to wash it every day right haha. You can actually put a clean shirt on top of it, then change it every one to two nights.

#6 Never use your shower towel to tap your face, and make sure you tap your face gently using your facial towel.

#7 Less fried food and sweet drinks.

#8 Sleep early! This is the hardest thing for most of us to do. But this really is the cause to your skin issue.

#9 Exercise more to maintain a healthy body and so do your skin!

#10 Take it easy in everything in life! The more you are stressed, the more it will reflect on your skin. So stay calm and be happy always.

I hope the tips above can help a little for your reference. I know it's hard for you, but trust me One Day you will have your clear skin back. Just the matter of time... and of course your effort counts.

NOW, the last part of sharing is Cleansing your face correctly!
I've been using Dermalogica's products for years, after trying so many brands out there.
I have to say choosing the right products for your skin is really important. Especially if you're having a sensitive/damaged skin.
Dermalogica's products are really good and gentle without any artificial ingredients.

Cleansing is always the first step of the skincare routine especially during the night time.
After having a long day with sunblock and make-up, also the air pollution in Malaysia is serious argh.
So when it comes to cleansing your face, please take it seriously with the steps.
It might be one of the causes that leads to breakouts.
So make sure you double cleanse your face!

--2 Steps for night routine--

Precleanse
#1 As the first step in your double cleanse regimen
Deep-cleansing oil melts impurities and make-up from skin
I use it in my every night routine. This gentle blend can be used around the eye area to even remove waterproof mascara. And ready for the following cleanser to penetrate even further for professional cleansing results.

Special Cleansing Gel
#2 A concentrated, soap free, foaming gel designed to thoroughly remove impurities without disturbing the skin's nature moisture balance.
I like how it cleanses my face and leave my face clean but not drying it. And it contains calming agents help sooth and purify skin.

Morning Routine with Ultracalming Cleanser
#This pH-balanced, non foaming cleanser helps calm and cool the redness and heat associated with reactive, sensitized or over processed skin.
This is an extremely gentle cleansing cream that leaves your skin feels super refreshing after washing it.
I started using it since months ago and I'm so in love with it.
It's perfect for sensitive skin like mine.

It's always recommended to have 2 cleansers and to use them alternately.
So that you can maximize the benefits of the cleansers that suit your skin conditions.

p/s: Above is not a paid post. This is a true review and I have been using them for quite some time. And I hope it can give you the idea of having a healthy skin.

That's it for today's sharing. Thank you for reading guys!
Winners never quit, quitters never win. SO Keep fighting.
