First trip in 2018 goes to Ipoh & Penang! ♥Part1

Hello sweeties~ GONG XI FA CHAI!! Happy Belated Chinese New year to all of you.
I know it's a little bit late, but pls forgive me!
There were too many things to rush before and during CNY.
Anyway, hope you all had a great time gathering with your friends & family during the festival!
Don't you think time flies like crazy this CNY!?
I can't believe that it's the end of it already omg...
So let's get back to the reality and work hard for the year of 2018^.^

Alright so now, let me share with you guys about the local trips that I went last month! I'm sure that all of you must have been to Ipoh & Penang right..
Both are literally food paradises for its famous dishes.
And as you all know that to me, food is everything whenever I'm on a holiday/vacation!
*No food, no life* HAHAH
So as usual I did some research about the famous local places before heading there.
And I think it's useful for those who are going or planning for a trip.

First thing first, it all started from Allianz AG (seminar&recognition) day in Ipoh.
Then, we decided to extend to Penang since it was just another 2hours drive away.

So let's begin with the first day in IPOH

We went to our dinner right away after we checked in to our Airbnb @Mroof residence.
Totally in love with the two-night stay tho! Nice environment, clean and pleasant.

Day1
--7pm--
Dinner time!

The must-eat food in town definitely is the Ipoh Chicken Rice!
Well, we used to go Lou Wong whenever we visited there.
But this time we chose Onn Kee instead. It was introduced by my bff, Carmen.
And we also thought to try something different.
Overall I think the food was decent, but the chicken was a little *hard* for us idk why lol
But I love their homemade fishballs and pork balls gosh!
We added additional bowl of both balls ahah it was REALLY GOOD.
And I also found out that the price wass fair enough compared to Lou Wong.

--9pm--
Visited Cafe de eight!

A cozy place I would say, and there's the feeling of heritage you can tell when you enter the cafe!
We had this creme brûlée with alcohol in it as our dessert.
Not bad tho.. felt quite unique to have alcoholic taste in it!
And there we spent a wonderful night then.

Day2
--8.30am--
Breakfast@CHOOI YUE DIM SUM

Honestly, this was the worst dim sum I had in Ipoh so far.
I love dim sum don't get me wrong! And I always crave for the delicious dim sum here.
But I felt disappointed this time with restaurant Chooi Yue.
I don't know why it was overrated as one of the best online.
Anyway, pls go for other dim sum spot instead!

--10am--
Allianz AG Full day @Ipoh Convention Centre

Yes, It's my bb who got his prize for the achievements in 2017.
Allianz has always been so rewarding and motivating to all the fighters!
Words couldn't describe how grateful we were at this time.
Like the big family always says, Allianz has changed my life.
This is true!
And just to share with you guys that, this year is a promotion year for him.
After 3years of fighting personal sales,

It's been really proud to see him achieving greater result progressively throughout the years in terms of financial stability and of course personal development, too.
Finally he got his first property last year, and you could not imagine how happy we were.
A place where we can finally call home.
Can't wait to the day it comes!

Day3
--10am--
Breakfast@Sing Loong Kopitiam

What a good morning to have the local breakfast like this!
Now, what's next?

Of course, never would miss this famous Tao Fu Fa & Soya Bean Drink called the Funny Mountain.

Super smooth tao fu fa and thumbs up for their soya bean.
I'm sorry that I totally forgot to take pictures of them, so I just screenshot them from Instagram for you guys haha!
Anyway, I believe most of you have been here right...

Moving on, paid a visit at Sin Eng Heong as the last destination where biscuit lovers would indulge!

There are various kinds of pastries, and Kaya Puff is the best-seller of all.
Nevertheless, I still prefer 'Lou Po Peng' (Wife's biscuits)
I love it a lot!
So I brought home quite many of them hehe..
Click the link below if you wish to find out more about this traditional biscuit shop! (:

--12.30pm--
Off to Penang! When the road trip begins...
Yes, another screenshot! HAHA

Okay I think I should stop right here, because it's such a long trip and I will save the rest for Part2.
Please stay tuned for the fantastic experience I had in Penang!
Thanks for reading guys
